COOKING CLASSES

Join Meredith in the kitchen!

Plant-based cooking beginners come together to learn, have fun, and enjoy a delicious meal. All classes feature recipes that promote health, creativity and a positive relationship with food. All classes are hands-on: after the cooking demos, you will be cooking through full recipes at a professional cooking station (with support and guidance of course!).

Regular Price Per Class: $100 USD per person

Local Price Per Class: AWG 135 per person

2019 CLASS CALENDAR

*Italian* (Evening Class) Thursday, February 14th – 6PM-10PM – Whether it’s date night, friends night, or if you’re flying solo, do something fun and different this Valentine’s Day! There’s no better way to show love for yourself and others than to learn how to cook delicious meals. This is a hands-on cooking class with an Italian menu theme. This class is recommended for all levels, but if you’re a true beginner in the kitchen (you aren’t comfortable holding a knife and haven’t used your oven in years) then I highly recommend starting with my Foundations Class.

*Asian Fusion* (Foundations Class) Saturday, February 23rd – 10AM – 2PM – Get empowered in the kitchen! This foundations class includes hands-on cooking experience in a professional teaching kitchen featuring a 4 course Asian Fusion menu. In addition to cooking, you will receive an intro to plant-based eating and meal planning, knife skill basics, pantry essentials shopping list, lesson on understanding texture and flavor profiles in food, and mindful cooking techniques to help you overcome cooking fears.

*Caribbean* Saturday, March 9th – 10AM – 2PM – Learn to veganize your Caribbean favorites! This is a hands-on cooking class with a Caribbean menu theme. This class is recommended for all levels, but if you’re a true beginner in the kitchen (you aren’t comfortable holding a knife and haven’t used your oven in years) then I highly recommend starting with my Foundations Class. *Asian Fusion* (Foundations Class) Saturday, March 30th – 10AM – 2PM -Get empowered in the kitchen! *Baking & Brunch* Saturday, May 11th – 10AM – 2PM -This is a hands-on cooking class with a Brunch menu theme. You’ll learn about plant-based replacements in baking and how to create your favorite brunch items in vegan style. Sign up with your mom or your whole family for this mother’s day weekend class! This class is a beginner’s class recommended for all levels.

Classes are taught at Colegio EPI, a hospitality college, in their commercial culinary teaching kitchen.

The “Foundations Class” begins with a discussion on plant-based eating, meal planning, and cooking techniques.

Next, we’ll head to the kitchen where you’ll watch a short knife skills demonstration and recipe review, and then you’ll work together with a partner or on your own to cook your 4 course meal!

We end the experience with a group meal. Drinking water is provided. You are welcome to BYOB if you like.
